Training Description

This course is a practical guide to help you start applying computational design in your day-to-day work. We’ll begin with a quick look at what computational design actually is, then move into the framework I use to make it relevant on real projects. Along the way, you’ll get exercises to put these ideas into practice with the problems that you choose/find. ## Disclaimers Before we jump in, a few quick disclaimers : - This is not a tutorial on any of the computational design tools like Grasshopper or Dynamo. It’s a strategy guide, a way to apply what you already know. If you’re looking for tool-specific tutorials, there are plenty of great ones out there. (That said, I do give a quick overview and a list of learning resources in the A Primer On The Tools module) - This course is something I’ve built independently. It’s not connected to any of my other work in public. - Everything I share here, the tools, tips, workflows, all comes from my actual day-to-day projects and experience. Some of the tools and resources I mention are paid, but I’m not sponsored by any of them. I just think they’re useful. # Course Outline - A New Pair of Glasses - What is Computational Design - A Primer On The Tools - Applying Computational Design - Sharing What You’ve Built - Restarting the Cycle - Bonuses & Exercises
